The Forest District Sława Śląska is located within the area of three provinces: Lower Silesia (Głogów District, Kotla Commune), Lubuskie Province ( Nowa Sól District, Kolsko Commune, Nowa Sól Commune, Siedlisko Commune; Zielona Góra District, Bojadła Commune, Kargowa Commune; Wschowa District, Sława Commune and city Sława), Wielkopolska Province (Wolsztyn District, Wolsztyn Commune).
It consists of three Forest Sub-Districts:
· Kochanowo,
· Sława,
· Świętno
Within the area of the Forest District, there are 14 Forest Rangers Areas:

● Forest Rangers Area Świętobór,
● Forest Rangers Area Radosławice,
● Forest Rangers Area Sabinówka,
● Forest Rangers Area Tarnów,
● Forest Rangers Area Dąbrówno,
● Forest Rangers Area Grochowice,
● Forest Rangers Area Strzeszków,
● Forest Rangers Area Stare Strącze,
● Forest Rangers Area Przydroże,
● Forest Rangers Area Wilcze,
● Forest Rangers Area Świętno,
● Forest Rangers Area Polanica,
● Forest Rangers Area Kolsko.
The forests of the Forest District in great extend constitutes the part of Bory Zielonogórskie (Zielona Góra Forests). The Forest District includes 271 forest complexes and 10 lakes (Sławskie, Tarnowskie Duże, Tarnowskie Małe, Błotne, Młyńskie, Młyńskie Małe, Święte, Mesze, Pluszne, Głuchów, Dronickie, Rudno, Wilcze, Wuszno, Jeziorno, Brzezie).
