The principal purposes of forest management carried out by the Forest District Sława Śląska are ensuring the sustainability and continuity of forest use, maintaining and improving its natural stability, resistance and vitality.
Silviculturehelps to promote the implementation of these tasks. It aims to maintain the wood production continuity through supplying trees and forest stands, which successively diminish from the forest as the result of its use. The above mentioned aims are already obtained from the stage of seeds harvesting, through seeds production, setting up and nursing the forest cultivations and young trees. The basis to arrange farming treatments constitute the type of the forest site and the type of the managed timberland.
